Truman Week

Welcome to the Truman Week website. This website has been designed to help answer questions you may have about move-in day and Truman Week. If you don't find the answer to your question, please go to the Help Page and type in your question. We will respond as quickly as possible. All times are still subject to change.

Truman Week is designed to help first-year students adjust to college life at Truman. This one-week program takes place the week before the fall semester begins. Students take part in classes, campus and community tours, a variety of social events, introductions to majors, and other activities that introduce them to Truman. Students begin one of their fall semester courses with their college professor during Truman Week. Getting to know this professor and the students in the class provide a supportive environment for the students’ academic transition to Truman.

Meetings with academic advisors are scheduled during Truman Week. Students meet their academic advisors to get acquainted and to begin the advisee/advisor relationship. They have the opportunity to get answers to their initial questions and to make any fall class changes.

For more information about Truman Week, contact the Residential College Office at (660) 785-4409.
